Roadtrip 2015 Fall: Vancouver - Astoria - Bandon - Anderson - Paso Robles - Palm Desert - Morongo Valley - Sedona - Henderson - Lone Pine - Sacramento - Ashland - Newport - Astoria - Vancouver

Day 36 - Tlaquepaque and other stuff

The forecast is for a rain day, and we spend the morning with coffee watching the storms roll through.

Emma maintains watch at the front door.

Meantime, St. Francis watches over the collection of international antique signs. Don't touch the signs.

Russ and Emma gain perspective from the other side of the fence.

Wendy is mesmerized by the mountains of stuff.

Not too many examples of raging fall colour here - but this red is pretty impressive.

Bathtub!! Russ 2, Wendy 0.

Sedona's love locks.

Kinda like they're getting married all over again.

The Tlaquepaque chapel.

Never mind the shops and restaurants - this place is like a tour of a National Historic Site.

We can't figure out if this place is a renovated mission, or a very perfect modern replica.

The front gates.

Yet another cool courtyard.

We don't yet have a photographic competition for unicorns, but perhaps there should be one.

Just for Deb.

This is the entirely unbelievable view from our breakfast nook.

We turn home in time for a spectacular show of light and clouds.

The storm clears out with an enormous final crescendo.

The evening vortex descends over Cathedral Rock. We lean back with more coffee.

The vortexers will be very happy with this one. We are still happy to be inside. It's crazy cold out there.
